PAIA Manual
Manual in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 ("PAIA"), read with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA").

2. The section 10 Guide on how to use PAIA
The Information Regulator has published a Guide (in each official language) on how to use PAIA, as contemplated in section 10 of the Act. The Guide explains how to complete request forms, the fees involved, and the remedies available if a request is refused. It is available from the Information Regulator:

3. Records held by Rogers & Co.
We hold, or may hold, records in the following categories:
- Company records: founding documents, statutory registers, CIPC filings.
- Financial records: accounting records, invoices, banking records, tax returns.
- Client records: engagement letters, correspondence, assessment reports and deliverables.
- Operational records: supplier agreements, insurance, internal policies and procedures.
- Personnel records (where applicable): contracts and remuneration records.
4. Records available in terms of other legislation
Certain records are available in accordance with other legislation, including the Companies Act 71 of 2008 (company records via CIPC), the Income Tax Act 58 of 1962 and the Value-Added Tax Act 89 of 1991 (tax records via SARS, by the taxpayer concerned).
5. How to request access to a record
- Complete Form 2 (Request for Access to Record) prescribed under the PAIA Regulations, 2021, available from the Information Regulator's website.
- Submit it to our Information Officer at info@rogersbs.co.za, providing sufficient detail to identify the record and the right you seek to exercise or protect.
- Pay the prescribed request fee (if applicable). Fees are set by the PAIA Regulations; personal requesters seeking their own personal information pay no request fee.
We will respond within 30 days as required by the Act. If access is refused, reasons will be provided, and you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to court.
6. Processing of personal information (POPIA)
The purposes for which we process personal information, the categories of data subjects, recipients, and security measures are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this manual as contemplated by regulation 4(1)(d) of the PAIA Regulations, 2021.
